I couldn’t resist picking up a ball of the very fun & sparkly Vanna’s Glamour Lion Brand yarn ($6.99 at Michael’s) the other day. One ball of it was perfect for making the small size of the Vine & Leaves Beret from the Fall 2009 issue of Vogue Knitting magazine. It went up in two short evenings!
This went up nice & quickly over the weekend.
This was a good challenge – a fancy lace beret from Vogue knitting in light fingering weight yarn. Mom had mentioned that she wanted this beret and I knew I had the perfect yarn for it – which happened to be in her color!
This wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be…
It was a busy December as I raced to finish crafting Christmas gifts. The holidays have gone by quickly with a quick trip to visit the parents and a multitude of social engagements.
I knit a fun bobble hat for my mom as a Christmas gift,
a 1920′s-style cloche hat (out of delicioulsy soft cashmere,
and another warmer winter hat.
It feels like it could be a very busy and productive year ahead. I hope it’s a good one for everyone.
Made a fun beret this week…
and should be done my mittens by the end of the week…
