Thanks to bulky weight yarn (mmm… soft and warm baby alpaca!) and some lare knitting needles, this top knit up in a few short days…
As soon as I put this down so I could photograph it, hunter claimed it for himself…
I finally finished knitting my first sweater. While I love the idea of it, I’m really unhappy with how the collar lies. Perhaps in the future, I will find the time and motivation to make something up and change it. Also, it makes me look like a wide load when I really am not. Mental note: don’t wear it buttoned up.
Since the end of March I’ve been busy with rehearsals for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and trying to finish knitting my “Winter Wonderland” sweater.
Mare came along with me for a weekend road trip to Halifax to visit my folks and do a bit of yarn shopping. It was nice to get away, and nice to see my folks. They gave us fun Easter baskets (they like to spoil my friends & I) and we found a few treats for ourselves while shopping at the local yarn stores.
Thank goodness I kept my snow tires on. It snowed on our drive back from Halifax and it’s still snowing here this morning. I hope this is the end of it. I’m relaly tired of winter weather.
